Wireless Setup

Click on the “Wireless Setup” to enter the configuration page: WPA , WPA only, password, Apply!

No doubt you cared about the security most. WEP decryption must be a headache, how could this router to encrypt to WPA2?

Choose”64-bit WEP”, then “Create a 64-bit WEP Key”, input your 10-letter password, Apply! Till now, the WEP encryption is OK.

If it’s already at the state of encryption, enter the menu of “WPA or WPA2”, choose the encryption mode as your requirement, then just input 8-letter password, Click on “Apply”.

P.S.: Many friends can’t connect to the internet when set the 2701, general reasons are listed below:

1. Error wiring, mistakenly connect the telephone line to the voip interface or connect to other equipment.

2. Mistakenly ADSL account or password input, please check your account carefully. In some area, you should decrypt the encrypted the account to use it.

3. The ADSL operator has bind users’ MAC address, you need to rebind it.

4. In some rare places, this 2701 modem can’t recognize your local VPI/VCI, so you need to input the VPI/VCI manually.
